CONNECT Yoga Retreat
Saturday March 4- Friday March 10
Come experience a week-long yoga retreat aimed at inspiring a deeper connection with ourselves and our environment – one breath, one step, one experience at a time. Together, we will expand our capacity to connect with ourselves, others, and our surroundings, while gaining experiential knowledge and tuning in to your inner teacher. This retreat is a great opportunity to slow down and be present while immersed in a beautiful, natural, tranquil environment. Open yourself to a practice beyond the mat.
Connect To Self: Build body, mind, spirit awareness through daily movement and yogic practice
Connect To Others: Integration into a shared space that cultivates like- minded activity and supports consciousness.
Connect To Nature: See, hear, taste, touch the nature around you. Play outside; watch and learn from the environment around you; get quiet, removed from man-made distractions.
About Dana
Dana Rivkin offers breath focused, fluid movement yoga classes with alignment cues that explore, anatomy, personal development and playful discovery of the self. Her yoga journey began in 2005 when she walked out of her first vinaysa class feeling like she was floating on clouds. Charged with love, this calm, peace-filled sensation grew along with her desire to study yoga outside of the physical asana practice. Dana completed her 200hr teacher training at Yoga Union in Portland, OR and is certified as a Street Yoga teacher, sharing the gift of breath and body awareness with homeless and at-risk youth. She continues to study with teachers around the globe, taking workshops from Mark Stephens, Sianna Sherman, Kofia Busia and Barney Chapman. Dana also works as an outdoor educator and adventure guide, leading groups of all ages into nature to connect, learn, and explore. Her passion for the outdoors, breath, personal discovery and community fuel her yoga classes. Continually inspired by the wisdom, strength and gifts of her teachers, friends and family, she believes yoga is a life-long study on and off the mat.
About Jenn
Jenn has over 900hrs of training in all different aspects and schools of yoga including Vinyasa, Hatha, Anusara, and yoga therapeutics. She has been teaching for five years, and decided to teach yoga because it was such a potent and powerful transformation in her life, and felt a strong urge to explore it further, then was invigorated and compelled to share it with others. She is passionate about the human anatomy, its biomechanics, and how to safely and effectively use yoga to cultivate and maintain strength and flexibility. Her classes are laden with precise verbal cues that address specific anatomical parts, so students can better understand and learn how our amazing bodies work and exist in the different forms that they do. She firmly believes that the practice of yoga is a gracious opportunity to cultivate awareness—in our bodies as well as in our hearts and minds—so that we can manifest such practices of mindfulness and compassion off our mats as well. the mat.
